Online course terms

Last updated September 2026

These terms apply when you buy or are given access to an online course from The Beauty Aesthetics Academy. They sit alongside our general terms and our privacy notice. The courses are supplied by Beauty Aesthetics Academy UK Limited, registered in England and Wales (company 13559672). Business education courses shown on this site are supplied by The Clinic Standard, not by the Academy, and its own terms apply to them.

What you are buying

An online course is access to a course inside your student account: the lessons, knowledge checks, final assessment and, when you pass with every lesson complete, a certificate. It is an online learning service, not a document. Some courses include a short supporting resource, such as a checklist or template, to use in practice; the course itself is not supplied as a download.

Your personal licence

When you enrol we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the course for your own professional development. The course, its text, questions, images, videos and resources remain the property of Beauty Aesthetics Academy UK Limited (or of The Clinic Standard for its courses) and are protected by copyright.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • copy, reproduce, record or republish course content, in whole or in part, including by screenshots or recordings made to share;
  • share, sell, rent or distribute course content or resources, or use them to create or teach another course;
  • share your login, let anyone else use your account, or let anyone else take a knowledge check or assessment for you;
  • use automated tools to copy or download course content.

You can use what you learn in your own practice, and you can use the templates and checklists in your own clinic.

Your account

Access is tied to your student account and the email address you enrolled with. Keep your sign-in to yourself. To protect accounts and courses we keep a short record of access to course pages (the date and time, the type of device and browser, and a scrambled form of your network address), described in our privacy notice. If we see signs that an account is being shared or content copied, we will contact you before taking any action, and we may suspend access where there is a clear breach of these terms. Courses cannot be moved to another person's account except by us, on request.

Certificates

A certificate is issued to the named learner who completed the course and passed the assessment. It belongs to that person, cannot be transferred, and can be checked by anyone using its certificate number on our verification page. We may withdraw a certificate if it was obtained by someone other than the named learner.

Theory and practical competency

This online course provides theory and professional development. It does not, by itself, confirm hands-on practical competency. Where practical competency is required, appropriate supervised practical training and assessment should also be completed.

CPD status is stated on each course page. Our approved provider status with The CPD Group is not, by itself, accreditation of an individual course; a course is described as CPD accredited only once its own accreditation is confirmed.

Cancellation and refunds

If you buy as a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Because the course is available to you straight away, at checkout we ask you to agree that access starts immediately and to acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once you start the course. If you have not opened any lesson, you can cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund by emailing academy@thebeautyaestheticsgroup.co.uk.

None of this affects your statutory rights. If a course is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to have it put right or, where that is not possible, to a refund or a price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Changes to courses

We review courses to keep them accurate and may update lessons, questions or resources. If we ever withdraw a course you have bought, we will tell you in advance and give you a reasonable time to finish it.

Contact and law

Questions or complaints: academy@thebeautyaestheticsgroup.co.uk or 01243 697979. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
