About this course
A practitioner-focused grounding in the anatomy and physiology that underpins safe aesthetic treatment: the skin, the vascular and lymphatic systems, the nervous system, the musculoskeletal system and the immune and endocrine systems as they relate to the face and body.
Each module links structure to practice, so that when you move on to skin, injectable or laser training you already understand what you are treating and why the safety rules exist.
Who it is for: Beginners, beauty professionals and practitioners who want a stronger foundation before practical training.
What you will be able to do
- Describe the structure and function of the skin and its appendages.
- Explain the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems as they relate to the face and body.
- Identify the major muscles of facial expression and their actions.
- Explain wound healing, inflammation and the immune response in the context of aesthetic treatment.
- Apply anatomical terminology accurately in consultation and record keeping.

4.Final assessment
Pass mark 80%. Academy certificate on passing with every lesson complete.
